The Heart of the Trace

Trace didn’t begin in a design studio; it began with a conversation at home. My ten year old,  daughter looked for a way to stay connected to her grandfather after he passed away. She wanted more than a photo; she wanted a trace—something physical, something real, something that carried his essence. 

We realized that the most personal mark a human being leaves behind is their fingerprint. No two are the same; they are our unique signatures on the world. To grant my daughter’s wish, we captured that singular pattern in silver, creating a piece that allowed her to feel his presence whenever she touched it. 

 What started as a mother’s gift to her child evolved into Trace by Elsa Zgheib. We now help others carry their loved ones with them. Whether it is to honor someone who has passed or to celebrate a bond that is very much alive, we transform a simple touch into a permanent treasure.
